Rising Stars of The GREAT Challenge Hackathon

It is with immense pride and joy that we congratulate our Year 4 Bachelor of Science (Applied Physics) students, Nur Raudah binti Amran and Tan Tian Xian, for their outstanding performance at The GREAT Challenge Hackathon @UTHM, held from 4th to 6th October 2024.

Guided by their dedicated supervisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Afishah Alias, the duo impressed the panel with their creativity and innovative thinking, earning the Best Idea and Presenter Award. This remarkable achievement showcases their ability to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges, standing out among strong competitors.

Their success has also secured them a coveted spot in the next phase of The GREAT Challenge 2024, which will take place on 22nd February 2024. In addition, they were awarded the MRANTI Fund of RM1,000, which will support the further development of their innovative project.

This accomplishment reflects their hard work, dedication, and the spirit of excellence that defines our faculty. We are incredibly proud of Nur Raudah and Tan Tian Xian and wish them continued success as they prepare to make an even greater impact in the next stage of the competition!
