Meeting with Industry: Miwa Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd.

On 13th November, a meeting took place at Eco Business Park V, Puncak Alam, to discuss potential collaboration between Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) and Miwa Manufacturing Industry in developing food products for children. The meeting was organized by Ts. Dr. Aida Safina Binti Aridi and attended by two other faculty members, Dr. Fazleen Izzany Abu Bakar and Dr. Nur Hafizah Malik, from the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST). Additionally, two undergraduate project students under Ts. Dr. Aida Safina’s supervision participated in the discussions.

The main objective of the meeting was to explore collaboration opportunities in producing nutritious food products tailored for children. Both parties shared their perspectives on product development strategies, quality assurance measures, and potential market avenues. To formalize this partnership, a Letter of Intent (LOI) was signed, signifying a commitment to furthering joint research and development efforts. This agreement marks a crucial step toward leveraging UTHM’s academic expertise and Miwa’s industry experience, paving the way for future initiatives that aim to benefit children’s nutrition and health.
