MOU signing between UTHM and Norman Process Oil Malaysia Plant Sdn. Bhd. (ORGKHIM)
An exciting academic and research collaboration has been established between UTHM and Norman Process Oil Malaysia Plant Sdn. Bhd. (ORGKHIM) at Tunku Tun Aminah Library, UTHM main campus. During this event, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) and Norman Process Oil Malaysia Plant Sdn. Bhd. (ORGKHIM) joined forces to establish a collaborative partnership in academics and research.
UTHM demonstrated its commitment to this collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ORGKHIM. This MoU signifies their shared goals and aspirations in driving advancements in academics and research.
During the event, the Vice Chancellor of UTHM, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Ruzairi Abdul Rahim, proudly represented the university. ORGKHIM, on the other hand, was represented by their esteemed Managing Director, Mr. Alexander Borisov. The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Technical Manager of ORGKHIM, Mr. Andrey Romanov.
The MoU signing ceremony, organized by the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST), was attended by several esteemed individuals. Notably, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Zaky Noh, the Dean of FAST, was present. Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Muhd. Hafeez bin Zainulabidin attended on behalf of the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, UTHM, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ramlee bin Kamarudin, the Director of the International Office, also participated. Additionally, Dr. Abu Ubaidah Shamsudin represented the Director of the Industry Community Relations Centre.
In February 2023, UTHM had the opportunity to visit Norman Process Oils Malaysia Plant Sdn. Bhd. This visit proved to be fruitful as UTHM and ORGKHIM agreed to implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in various areas of collaboration.
The MoU focuses on key aspects such as the admission of UTHM students, joint supervision programs, and publication initiatives at Norman Process Oils Malaysia Plant Sdn. Bhd. It’s wonderful to see the commitment of both UTHM and ORGKHIM to foster academic and research cooperation in these areas. Notably, ORGKHIM holds the distinction of being the leading Russian manufacturer of “green” aromatic rubber process oils. Their dedication to producing top-quality eco-friendly products is truly commendable.
