The Master of Science programme provide the opportunity for student to acquire research skills and deepen their knowledge in an area of science. Student work under the guidance of an experience supervisor who is full time academic staff member of the faculty student are examined through the presentation of thesis and are required to take prescribed subjects in research methodology or any other subject deemed necessary by the principal supervisor.

The main aim of this programme is to provide a professional development of candidate, providing experience in problem definition, hypothesis formulation and testing, data acquisition, analysis and interpretation as well as project presentation.

Entry Requirements: 

General:

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum CGPA of 2.75) or equivalent in related field from UTHM or institutions recognised by Senate; or
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent not meeting CGPA of 2.50 in a related field from UTHM or institutions recognised by Senate, can be accepted subject to minimum of five (5) years working experience in relevant field.

Language:

  • A minimum score of 5.5 for IELTS or 500 for TOEFL or
  • Band 3 for MUET or it’s equivalent.

Duration of Study: 

  • Full Time: Minimum of Twelve (12) months
  • Part Time: Minimum of Twenty Four (24) months

Tuition Fees: 

Local Student: MYR1400 / semester
International Student: MYR 3160 / semester
